The European investment platform has secured a €19.6M Series B round, led by Nordic Ninja, with participation from Superangel, SpecialistVC, Lightspeed, Metaplanet, Skaala, and several notable angels – including Markus Villig, Taavet Hinrikus, Ott Kaukver and Jaan Tallinn.
Alongside the funding, Lightyear announced the launch of AI-powered market intelligence tools, giving retail investors access to clear, contextual insights previously locked behind paywalls. Features like Why Did It Move, Bulls Say / Bears Say, and Lightning Updates are the first step in Lightyear’s broader AI strategy.
The company also hit a major milestone: $1B in customer assets – fueled by rapid expansion across Europe. With the Series B, Lightyear is now live in 25 markets, 10 languages, and most recently entered Denmark, Sweden, and Bulgaria.
